Job summary

Summa Health in Akron, Ohio is seeking a Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgeon to join our employed physician group. The specialist should have an interest in pelvic medicine, including pelvic pain, fibroids, endometriosis, vulvar disease, colposcopy, and related procedures.

The position excludes obstetrics. The role is employed with competitive compensation, benefits, signing bonus, relocation, and CME allowance.

Qualifications

• Active involvement in medical student, resident, and fellow education.
• Commitment to evidence-based, standardized care in a patient-centered, team-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide MIGS and pelvic health care within a large multi-specialty group.
• Participate in education of medical students, residents, and fellows.
• 3 days in the office and up to 2 days in the OR; support for 0.8–1.0 FTE.
• Academic appointment at Northeast Ohio Medical University; Epic EMR system.

Summa Health is seeking a MIGS Specialist to join our employed physician group. We are currently considering surgical applicants. The surgeon should also have an interest in pelvic medicine. Our practice includes all aspects of pelvic health including but not limited to pelvic pain, fibroids, endometriosis, vulvar disease, colposcopy, trigger point injections, and minimally invasive surgery. The position does not include obstetrics.

The selected candidate will become a member of Summa Health Medical Group, a multi-specialty group practice of nearly 700 providers employed by the Summa Health System. Summa Health - headquartered in Akron, Ohio - is one of the largest integrated Healthcare Delivery Systems in the state. With 2 hospitals and 20+ health centers, Summa Health provides access to care throughout the region.

Candidate Requirements

• Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology

• Completion of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery Fellowship

• Unrestricted Ohio Licensure or willingness to obtain

• Commitment to evidence-based, standardized care in a patient centered, team-based environment
