Summa Health in Akron, Ohio, seeks a Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgeon (MIGS) to join our employed physician group. The role emphasizes pelvic medicine alongside minimally invasive procedures, with no obstetrics in scope.

The selected candidate will participate in a multi-specialty health system, with large patient volume across several sites and an academic appointment at Northeast Ohio Medical University. 3 in-office days and growing OR days are planned, with 0.80–1.0 FTE and Epic EMR.

Qualifications

• Board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Completion of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery Fellowship.
• Unrestricted Ohio licensure or willingness to obtain licensure.
• Active involvement in medical student, resident, and fellow education.

Responsibilities

• Perform minimally invasive gynecologic surgeries and pelvic medicine care.
• Join a large Summa Health Medical Group with 700 providers and contribute to patient care.
• Engage in academic activities and teaching at Northeast Ohio Medical University.
• Work with Epic EMR and multi-site surgical coverage.

Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgeon

Summa Health is seeking a MIGS Specialist to join our employed physician group. We are currently considering surgical applicants. The surgeon should also have an interest in pelvic medicine. Our practice includes all aspects of pelvic health including but not limited to pelvic pain, fibroids, endometriosis, vulvar disease, colposcopy, trigger point injections, and minimally invasive surgery. The position does not include obstetrics.

The selected candidate will become a member of Summa Health Medical Group, a multi-specialty group practice of nearly 700 providers employed by the Summa Health System. Summa Health - headquartered in Akron, Ohio - is one of the largest integrated Healthcare Delivery Systems in the state. With 2 hospitals and 20+ health centers, Summa Health provides access to care throughout the region.
