Job summary

Summa Health in Akron, OH seeks a Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgeon (MIGS) to join our employed physician group. The surgeon should focus on MIS and pelvic health, excluding obstetrics, and participate in education and clinical care across multiple sites.

The role offers an 0.80–1.0 FTE, 3 in-office days and 2 OR days, with a large, stable group and 24/7 coverage support. Epic EMR and NEOMU appointment are included.

Qualifications

• Board certified in OB/GYN with MIS fellowship completed.
• Unrestricted Ohio medical licensure or eligibility.
• Active involvement in education of medical students, residents and fellows.
• Commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered, team-based care.
• Interest in pelvic medicine and non-obstetric gynecologic care.

Responsibilities

• Provide Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery and pelvic medicine care.
• Perform MIS procedures and participate in inpatient/outpatient services.
• Collaborate with a large, multi-specialty Summa Health Medical Group.
• Engage in education of students, residents and fellows.

Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgeon

Summa Health - Akron, Ohio

Summa Health is seeking a MIGS Specialist to join our employed physician group. We are currently considering surgical applicants. The surgeon should also have an interest in pelvic medicine. Our practice includes all aspects of pelvic health including but not limited to pelvic pain, fibroids, endometriosis, vulvar disease, colposcopy, trigger point injections, and minimally invasive surgery. The position does not include obstetrics.

The selected candidate will become a member of Summa Health Medical Group, a multi-specialty group practice of nearly 700 providers employed by the Summa Health System. Summa Health - headquartered in Akron, Ohio - is one of the largest integrated Healthcare Delivery Systems in the state. With 2 hospitals and 20+ health centers, Summa Health provides access to care throughout the region.
