Job Description

The minibar attendant position entails the proper restocking of in-room minibar product inventories, charging guests for product consumed, and maintaining the cleanliness and maintenance of equipment and products.

Qualifications

  • Obtain proper information and report from Opera, as indicated during your training period.
  • Ensure the minibar cart is properly re-stocked to the correct level of capacity to avoid overloading.
  • Enter the guest room and take inventory of consumed items.
  • Charge guests for items consumed using the telephone and dialing the appropriate extension.
  • Ensure proper re-stocking, dusting, cleaning, and maintenance of minibars.
  • Inspect all in-room minibars, especially checked-out rooms and expected arrivals.
  • Keep track of stayover rooms and inspect them at least every other day, according to consumption.
  • Ensure minibars are in good repair, cleaned, and organized.
  • Maintain minibar product inventory, removing items within 2 weeks of expiration and disposing of expired or damaged items appropriately.
  • Keep the minibar storeroom clean and organized daily.
  • Use FIFO method to ensure product rotation.
  • Inspect all rooms during the day, including stayovers.
  • Refill minibar carts, sweep storeroom floors, and dispose of trash daily.
  • Send end-of-day reports via email to the Front Desk and Food & Beverage departments; print two consumption reports—one for accounting and one for guest services.
  • File worksheets by date and store them in P2 for three months.
  • Communicate effectively with Housekeeping Management regarding issues, concerns, or product needs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manager or Supervisor.
  • Coordinate with Front Desk and Housekeeping staff.
  • Follow up on guest disputes regarding minibar charges to prevent revenue loss.

Experience

  • At least 1 year of customer service experience as a minibar attendant.
  • Prior hospitality experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; typing speed of 35 wpm.
  • Experience with Opera is helpful.
  • Flexible schedule to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands

  • Prolonged sitting and working at a computer keyboard.
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, bend, and reach daily.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 100 pounds occasionally.
  • Reliable and punctual attendance is essential.

Pay wage: $22.50 per hour

Additional Information

Adapt to Ennismore’s culture by understanding and supporting its standards. Regular attendance per company policies is essential. Due to the cyclical nature of hospitality, varying work schedules may be required.
