The Post Oak Hotel in Houston, TX, part of Landry's, is seeking a Minibar Attendant to manage minibar inventories, restock, and ensure FIFO rotation. The role requires hospitality excellence and guest-ready service in Forbes Five-Star luxury surroundings.

Responsibilities include replacing minibar items, maintaining cleanliness, handling guest inquiries, and supporting hotel operations while upholding safety policies.

Formación

• 1-3 years of restaurant experience.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous hotel experience, luxury or Forbes experience preferred.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Physical demands: Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing <=25 pounds; assist with movements >50 pounds; stand/sit/walk for long periods.

Overview

The Post Oak Hotel is seeking a Minibar Attendant to join the only Forbes Five-Star Hotel in Texas. We hire passionate and professional colleagues who genuinely delight our guests through curated and authentic experiences. The Minibar Attendant will be responsible for handling, ordering and organizing all inventories required by the minibar, including inventory of expiration dates and FIFO rotation of all stock.

Responsibilities

• Consistently replace minibar items in guest rooms per consumption
• Observe and maintain daily condition of all physical facilities and equipment related to minibar operation
• Maintain full understanding and knowledge of all food and beverage items on minibar menu
• Handle all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodate special requests whenever possible; assist guests in all inquiries in connection with hotel services, hours of operations key hotel personnel, in-house events, directions, etc
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization in the mini-bar storage areas
• Pick-up trays and clean tables as needed to ensure cleanliness. Maintain cleanliness of work areas (china, glass, etc.) throughout the day
• Complete closing duties, including restocking items, cleaning as needed, etc.
• Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures
• Report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of restaurant experience
• High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field
• Previous hotel experience, luxury or Forbes experience preferred
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays is required
• Physical demands:
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance
  • Assist with moving, lifting, carrying, and placing of objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds
  • Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift
