The Post Oak Hotel at Uptown Houston is seeking a Cocktail Server to join the hospitality team. You will serve food courses and alcoholic beverages, greet guests, and ensure an exceptional dining experience in a Forbes Five-Star environment.

Responsibilities include presenting menus, explaining ingredients, coordinating with the kitchen, and maintaining pristine service areas. Flexible scheduling, including nights, weekends and holidays, is required, with tipping bonuses for this role.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of restaurant experience.
• Ability to carry food and beverage trays safely and professionally.
• Previous hotel experience, luxury or Forbes experience preferred.

Overview

The Post Oak Hotel is seeking a Cocktail Server to join the only Forbes Five-Star Hotel in Texas. We hire passionate and professional colleagues who genuinely delight our guests through curated and authentic experiences.

The Cocktail Server will be responsible for serving food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and welcome them in a friendly manner
• Take drink orders and follow policy regarding service of alcohol
• Know the menu and be able to explain menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods to guests
• Communicate meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen
• Serve food and beverages promptly and efficiently, ensuring accuracy and good presentation, and timed so the entire table is served within a reasonable time frame
• Maintain cleanliness of work and guest areas by clearing, collecting and returning food and beverage items to proper area
• Check on guests during their meals to ensure satisfaction and address requests/concerns
• Handle guest complaints or concerns professionally and bring issues to management
• Report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications
• Responsibilities include complying with all federal and state laws, including the FLSA tip regulations regarding tip reporting, sharing, and minimum wage requirements

Qualifications
