Job summary

Worknet Staffing Services in Lafayette, LA is seeking an experienced mini excavator and backhoe operator to work in ditches and waterways, handling obstructions and drainage improvements. Must operate safely and confidently on active roadways.

Requirements include at least 1 year of excavator experience, valid Class D license (CDL A/B a plus), insurable MVR, ability to pass drug screen, and reliable transportation. Work Monday–Friday 7:00 am–3:30 pm with overtime and on-call one week out of five.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience operating excavators.
• Valid Class D driver's license at a minimum.
• Insurable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen.

Worknet Staffing Services is searching for an experienced mini excavator / backhoe operator for work here in the greater Lafayette area. Work mainly consists of excavating in ditches and waterways to remove obstructionsand improve drainage. Must be able to operate the machines safely and with the confidence and skill level needed to dig from an active roadway. AT MINIMUM 1 YEAR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED OPERATING EXCAVATORS.Will work with ground crew as needed. Work is M-F 7am-3:30pm with opportunities for overtime. Must be ok with being on call for 1 week out of every 5. Resume must state the amount of time you have operated these piecesof equipment. MUST POSSESS A VALID CLASS D DRIVER'S LICENSE AT A MINIMUM. CDL A OR B IS A PLUS. Must possess an insurable MVR(Motor Vehicle Record). Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen. Must have reliable transportation to equipment yard. Must be able to operate the equipment in a safe and productive manner. Must be confident operating a heavy-duty pickup truck towing an equipmenttrailer on city streets. Must be able to work the schedule listed with minimal interruption.
