Job summary

Worknet Staffing Services in Lafayette, LA is seeking an experienced mini excavator and backhoe operator to work in ditches and waterways, handling obstructions and drainage improvements. Must operate safely and confidently on active roadways.

Requirements include at least 1 year of excavator experience, valid Class D license (CDL A/B a plus), insurable MVR, ability to pass drug screen, and reliable transportation. Work Monday–Friday 7:00 am–3:30 pm with overtime and on-call one week out of five.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience operating excavators.
• Valid Class D driver's license at a minimum.
• Insurable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Operate mini excavator and backhoe safely and efficiently.
• Excavate in ditches and waterways to remove obstructions and improve drainage.
• Work with ground crew as needed and follow directions of supervisor.
