Job summary

Caterpillar is seeking a MineStar Application Specialist to lead on-site deployment and optimization of MineStar Command in Phoenix, AZ. You will work closely with engineering teams and customers to ensure reliable system performance and continuous improvements.

The role emphasizes hands-on problem solving, training, and collaboration across supervisors, builders, controllers and technicians, with a 50-75% travel requirement and 7/7 shift rotation where applicable.

Qualifications

Experience in mining technology and operating MineStar systems.
Strong understanding of mining best practices.
Proven field support and troubleshooting capabilities.
Ability to identify root causes and implement solutions.
Excellent communication across cross-functional teams and customers.
Proficiency with analytical tools such as Power BI.

Responsibilities

Implement MineStar Command and optimize system performance.
Build trusted relationships with customers through collaboration.
Support MineStar Office Supervisors, Builders, Controllers, and Technicians on system performance to minimize downtime.
Assist with hardware and software installation and configuration, including QA/QC processes.
Measure, benchmark, and report on system performance and identify improvement opportunities.
Create training materials and process documentation for ongoing learning and excellence.
Execute continuous improvement projects to optimize production and efficiency.
