Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a MineStar Onboard Specialist to support Command for hauling at a Nevada mine site. You will troubleshoot, optimize, and collaborate with Caterpillar engineering and customer teams to ensure system performance and adoption.

The role emphasizes on-site, hands-on support, cross-functional coordination, and continuous improvement across autonomous haulage systems. Relocation assistance is available; sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

Experience with mining technology and large mining equipment.
Ability to troubleshoot on haul trucks and heavy equipment.
Strong field support and diagnostics.
Willingness to relocate to mine site in Northern Nevada.

Responsibilities

Own onboard hardware health and availability for MineStar/Command for hauling-equipped fleet.
Manage machine and system integration, ensuring onboard components and networks work together.
Troubleshoot field issues, document findings, and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
Analyze autonomy and base machine fault data to support root-cause solving.
Report hardware/software status and escalate critical events.
Coach and mentor customer personnel and internal teammates on best practices.
Present technical findings to customer maintenance and operations teams.
