Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan in Morenci, AZ is seeking a Tire Technician to perform maintenance, repair, and replacement of tires on haul trucks and other mine equipment. This on-site role requires hands-on mechanical skills and the ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

• One year of tire repair or mechanical maintenance experience.
• Ability to read and use schematics.
• Experience passing safety-focused assessments and training.

Responsibilities

• Repair, replace, and service tires on mine equipment.
• Diagnose tire/wheel issues and select replacements.
• Perform preventive tire maintenance and inspections.
• May perform basic welding with cutting torch.
• Operate forklifts, cranes, and small equipment.
• Maintain safe work area and complete work orders.
• Follow hot tire safety procedures.
• Perform other duties as required.
