Energy Fuels is seeking a Mine Surveyor for the La Sal Complex in La Sal, UT. The role blends field surveys with office data processing to deliver accurate survey control and reliable mine plans that support safe development and production.

The position requires handling underground and surface surveys, using total stations, Vulcan/AutoCAD, and related equipment, with opportunities to advance through levels A, B, or C based on experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering
• 0-2 years surveying experience (level C), 3-7 years (level B), 7+ years (level A)
• Valid Driver’s License
• Proficiency with survey equipment (total stations required)
• Experience with Vulcan or similar mine planning software
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently in changing field conditions
• Solid mathematical and data interpretation skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of MSHA standards and hazard recognition
• Ability to travel to company sites as needed

Responsibilities

• Perform underground and surface 3D as-built surveys using total stations and related survey equipment
• Establish, verify, and maintain survey control
• Execute layout for mining operations including drill hole alignment and development reference lines
• Survey completed development and production areas to ensure design compliance
• Update survey drawings and mine plans using Vulcan/AutoCAD
• Prepare monthly production reports and calculations
• Calculate volumes for ore, waste, and stockpiles
• Provide survey support for mine planning, engineering, and geology teams
• Assist in alignment and positioning of exploration drilling
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and MSHA regulations
• Other duties as assigned
