Job summary

ASARCO LLC is seeking a Mine Survey Technician to plan, schedule and perform daily surveying in the Ray Complex. You will export designs to Trimble Data Collector, perform blast hole sampling, and create shot maps while maintaining elevation controls and progress maps.

This on-site role requires fieldwork, physical effort, and adherence to safety procedures. Preferred candidates have 1 year of related education and surveying experience in mining or construction, plus familiarity with AutoCAD and

Qualifications

• One year of college or technical schooling in a related field preferred.
• One year survey experience in mining or construction environment preferred.
• CEFR B2 - Upper Intermediate language ability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and implement daily mine surveying activities.
• Export designs from planning software to field data collection systems.
• Perform daily blast hole sampling and assist with design uploads.
• Establish elevation controls and create shot maps.
• Assist in delineating ore/waste splits and staking controls in field.
• Maintain progress maps and assist with safety procedures.
