Job summary

Kinross Gold Corporation is seeking a Shift Supervisor to oversee mine operations with a strong emphasis on safety and efficiency. You will direct the assistant mine supervisors and coordinate with the Mine General Supervisor to execute the mine plan.

Responsibilities include assigning crews and equipment, monitoring production, and ensuring compliance with safety guidelines while fostering team development and operational excellence across shifts.

Qualifications

• Five years of heavy equipment operating experience in a mining or construction environment.
• Two years of direct supervisory experience in a mine production environment.
• Requires valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assign crews and equipment to tasks to meet daily production goals.
• Supervise crew activities to ensure safe and efficient completion of assignments.
• Develop crew skills to maximum efficiency and safety.
• Address personnel issues promptly and appropriately.
• Discuss daily priorities with Mine General Supervisor & Assistant Mine Supervisors to implement the mining plan.
