Martin Marietta is seeking a Mine Planning Engineer in Overland Park, KS to lead open pit and aggregate project planning. You will develop short-, mid-range, and life-of-mine plans, analyze geology, and optimize extraction sequences with Carlson/GEOVIA/MAPTEK tools.
You will collaborate with operations and support teams, drive continuous improvement, and deliver cost-effective solutions while upholding our safety culture and reporting requirements.
Hold a bachelor's degree in mining, geological, or civil engineering
Have 2+ years of experience in mine planning, preferably for aggregate or industrial mineral mining operations
Have experience in developing mine plans for surface and underground operations
Have experience with exploration drilling and geologic interpretation
Possess or can obtain a professional engineering (PE) or geology (PG) license
