Job summary

Sibanye-Stillwater is seeking a Mine Manager to lead the East Boulder Mine operations in McLeod, MT. You will direct mining teams, ensure adherence to MSHA standards, manage budgets, and drive continuous improvement in safety, productivity, and cost efficiency.

The role requires extensive underground mining experience, strong leadership, and the ability to foster a collaborative culture with site leadership. Full-time exempt position based at the mine site.

Qualifications

• Leads by example with strong teambuilding, communication, business sense and vision.
• Coaches and mentors peers and subordinates effectively.
• Solid understanding of MSHA regulations and compliance.
• Proficient with mine systems, cost management and productivity enhancements.
• Experience with underground mining methods.
• Experience with haulage systems, backfill, fixed plant operations and hoisting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Mining Operation teams, systems and processes, staying current with best practices and provide recommendations.
• Analyze and interpret data from Mining Operations, take corrective actions and offer problem-solving support.
• Embed Zero Harm as a core value across operations.
• Align operational goals with Group Minimum Standards and safety commitments.
• Support development of Safety and Health Management, Environmental systems and regulatory compliance.
• Engage workforce to build trust and develop leaders at all levels.
• Collaborate with site leadership to foster a change culture and drive focus.
• Develop and execute short- and long-term planning to grow operations.
• Ensure operations comply with MSHA regulations.
• Lead strategic workforce planning and organizational development.
• Foster cooperation, collaboration and innovation to meet goals.
• Communicate site goals and initiatives with other site managers.
