Job summary

Sibanye-Stillwater is seeking a Sublevel Miner 1 or 2 for the East Boulder Mine in McLeod, MT. The role covers heading prep, blasting, mucking, and operating underground equipment, with a rotating 5x4x4x5 schedule.

You will perform explosives placement, ensure ventilation and utilities, and follow safety standards. Preference given to familiarity with mine equipment terminology and small hand tools. The company is an equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Must meet and maintain qualifications for working with explosives per the Safe Explosives Act.
• Working knowledge of utilities, services, and ventilation.
• Must meet the minimum Task Matrix Proficiency Levels for a Sublevel Miner 2. (See Task Matrix in HR Office)
• Mine Equipment and materials terminology and uses.
• Working knowledge of small hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Performs heading prep, blasting, and mucking duties. Determines the amount of explosives, placement, and firing of explosives.
• Operates underground equipment (loaders, trucks, etc).
• Performs other duties as assigned from time to time at the discretion of the company.
