Job summary

Northern Star Resources Limited is seeking a Mill Maintenance Planner for a full-time role in Delta Junction, AK. The role focuses on scheduling and resourcing maintenance to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability.

You will coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, and vendors, plan preventive maintenance, manage parts and work orders, and ensure MSHA compliance. This is a 28/14 rotating schedule on a remote campsite with on-site facilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years practical experience in mechanical/electrical planning or related field.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Technical knowledge of fixed plant equipment & parts.
• Computer literacy – CMMS and Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain work order status from creation to closure with notes and codes.
• Schedule downtime by coordinating with Operations, Maintenance, Warehouse and vendors.
• Plan preventive maintenance and repairs with Maintenance teams.
• Ensure correct parts are staged and available for PM and back-log repairs.
• Create and modify preventive maintenance schedules and work orders.
• Generate and manage purchase requisitions and code to the correct accounts.
• Evaluate rebuild vs new procurement options and report to management.
• Maintain stock availability and manage inventory in liaison with warehousing.
• Prepare weekly PM reports and schedule meetings for all crews.
• Research, price, and obtain quotes for parts/equipment required for work.
