Job summary

Turner Staffing Group seeks an Instrumentation & Automation Technician to support a 30-week mine restart project near Clayton, Idaho. Travel to the site is required for the duration of the project.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson instrumentation technician or equivalent industrial experience preferred.
• Experience working with instrumentation, controls, sensors, or automation systems.
• Ability to read basic electrical drawings, schematics, and equipment documentation.
• Strong safety commitment and ability to follow site procedures and lockout/tagout.
• Willingness to travel to Clayton, Idaho for project duration.

Responsibilities

• Replace apron feeder controllers.
• Troubleshoot and repair belt speed sensors.
• Remove loose, abandoned, or hanging cables from various areas of the mill.
• Support the installation and connection of flowmeters, probes, and other mill sensors.
• Assist with instrumentation, automation, and controls work under the guidance of the site team.
• Inspect work areas and equipment before beginning assigned tasks.
• Follow site procedures, electrical standards, and lockout/tagout requirements.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas.
• Communicate work status, equipment concerns, and safety hazards to site supervision.
