Job summary

Turner Mining Group Morenci operations in Arizona seeks an Electrical/Instrumentation Technician to perform removal, repair and installation of electrical components, and to conduct preventive maintenance on industrial equipment in a copper mining setting.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in industrial electrical/ instrumentation repair or an Electronics/Instrumentation program and related training. On-site work with required tools is expected; pay is competitive hourly with benefits.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved electronics/electrical/instrumentation program or equivalent.
• 4+ years in industrial electrical/instrumentation repair and maintenance.
• Associate's degree or trade certification with 2+ years related experience.
• Ability to read technical manuals, prints, and schematics for troubleshooting.
• Strong written and verbal communication to satisfy safety and training policies.
• Must have personal tools or acquire them within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Removal, repair and installation of electrical components and systems; diagnose and optimize processes.
• Perform routine and non-routine repairs and construction safely.
• Preventative maintenance including substations, power distribution, and instrumentation equipment.
• Maintain knowledge of AC/DC drives, PLCs, cranes, calibration of transmitters and weigh scales.
• Installations and renovations compliant with regulatory standards.
• Follow SOPs, participate in safety and environmental activities, and adapt to business needs.
