Job summary

SSR Mining Inc. is seeking a Health & Safety Manager for the Cripple Creek & Victor operations in Colorado.

You will lead health, safety, and loss prevention programs, supervise staff, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements at an active mine site at high altitude. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related safety field and 7+ years of progressive experience (or 10+ years without a degree).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Safety Management, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health and Safety, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive relevant experience; or 10+ years in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Develop and supervise site safety programs and staff.
• Manage safety budgets, schedules, and personnel matters.
• Ensure compliance with SSR Mining standards and government regulations.
• Coordinate emergency response and industrial hygiene programs.
• Analyze incident data and advise leadership on improvements.
• Prepare reports for site management and regulatory agencies.
