Job summary

SSR Mining Inc. seeks an Environmental Supervisor for the Cripple Creek & Victor Mine (CC&V) to lead environmental programs, oversee audits, and manage compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

The role reports to the Sustainability & External Relations Manager and guides teams of coordinators and engineers in water, air, waste, and biodiversity initiatives. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years in mining environmental compliance, with strong regulatory knowledge

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
• 8+ years in mining and environmental compliance, or 10+ years in related industry.
• Strong knowledge of US federal/state environmental regulations (NEPA, RCRA).

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental compliance programs aligned with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Supervise day-to-day internal audits and inspections, addressing gaps in compliance.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce risk and maintain CC&V’s social license to operate.
• Manage environmental compliance activities in support of the CC&V business plan.
• Lead and mentor a team of Environmental Coordinators and Engineers.
