Job summary

Kiewit Mining Group is seeking a Front Line Supervisor – Equipment Maintenance who will directly supervise daily maintenance operations for heavy equipment fleets, including up to 20 personnel. The role requires a strong technical background and exemplary safety, quality, and team development standards.

You will oversee planning, scheduling, and coordination with field engineers, safety, and quality teams to ensure on-time, cost-effective maintenance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years relevant experience as a Front Line Supervisor in mining or heavy civil operations.
• Familiar with MSHA operations.
• Self-starter with strong work ethic and initiative.
• Commitment to ethics and integrity.
• Strong safety focus and ability to lead by example.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to relocate and travel as required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of an assigned maintenance crew including technicians and tradesmen.
• Assist in hiring, training, and developing craft personnel for fleet maintenance.
• Maintain open communication with crews, engineers, maintenance, safety, and quality teams.
• Prepare work plans and schedule manpower, materials, and equipment.
• Inspect shop and field conditions; troubleshoot and implement cost-saving measures.
• Monitor budgets and enforce cost-control measures.
