Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Mine Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 at our Ada, OK cement plant and quarry. The 10-week paid internship starts June 1, 2027 and offers hands-on exposure to production, maintenance, and safety in a real-world mining environment.

You'll collect data, analyze processes, observe drilling, blasting, loading, and hauling, and present learnings to leadership. Strong communication and teamwork are essential, with a passion for sustainability and building North America.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program majoring in Mine Engineering or similar field.
• Strong academic performance with a solid understanding of engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on Learning: Dive into the operational procedures, production/maintenance activities, and product knowledge of the cement plant and quarry.
• Data-Driven Insights: Collect and analyze data, identify process correlations, and contribute to the development of strategies for ongoing projects.
• Operational Exposure: Gain hands-on experience with daily mine operations, including drilling, blasting, loading, and hauling activities.
• Equipment Monitoring: Work alongside operators to learn about the maintenance and operation of heavy mining equipment.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with geology, engineering, and safety teams to understand the full spectrum of operations.
• Safety Protocols: Assist in the implementation and monitoring of safety protocols and procedures.
• Skill Application: Utilize a range of skills in day-to-day operations to achieve team and company goals.
• Executive Presentation: Present learnings and contributions to the executive leadership team.
