Job summary

Pennsy Supply Inc. is seeking a Mine Engineer Intern to join for approximately 10-12 weeks, applying classroom knowledge to the company’s mining operations. The intern will rotate through multiple plants in the Harrisburg market region, travel between sites, and collaborate with engineering and operations teams.

Safety is emphasized with MSHA/OSHA/DOT policies, and you will assist in mine planning, geology analysis, drone mapping, QA/QC, and field support across abandoned quarries.

Qualifications

• Junior in Mine Engineering or Geology.
• GPA 3.0 or higher preferred.
• Proficient with Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety policies and learn MSHA/OSHA/DOT rules.
• Collaborate with Operations to review mine planning and geology analysis.
• Assist in short/long term mine planning and cost-saving initiatives.
• Assist Drone Operator for mapping and stripping calculations.
• Perform field operations support at aggregates sites.
• Shadow operations staff to learn planning and objectives.
