Job summary
AngloGold Ashanti North America is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to contribute to the safe, cost-effective design and operation of open-pit slopes, waste dumps, leach pads, and related infrastructure. You will provide technical expertise, risk assessment, and field support to mine planning, geology, and operations teams throughout the project lifecycle.

- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in geotechnical-related field.
- 5–7 years of geotechnical engineering experience in mining or related industries.
- Experience supporting open-pit operations and geotechnical design.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to project or operational teams.
Responsibilities
- Identify geotechnical risks and implement controls for a safe working environment.
- Develop and implement geotechnical design criteria for mine plans and operations.
- Plan and manage geotechnical investigation and testwork programs; define sampling criteria.
- Ensure design deliverables meet engineering standards and improve safety, performance and cost efficiency.
- Communicate geotechnical risks and recommendations to project leadership; collaborate across teams.
