Job summary

Mining Americas Inc. is seeking a Mine Engineer – Junior to Intermediate Level to provide technical engineering support to mine operations in Ely, Nevada.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Mining Engineering graduate or an engineer with some experience to take on greater technical responsibility. You will work closely with Safety, Operations, Geology, Survey, Processing and Maintenance to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective mining, with responsibilities in planning, design,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mining engineering or a closely related engineering discipline required.
• Recent graduates and entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
• Previous mining experience, internship, or co-op experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with short- and medium-term mine planning, scheduling, design, and production forecasting.
• Prepare mine designs, layouts, maps, drawings, and other technical documentation.
• Monitor production performance and assist with reporting, reconciliation, and variance analysis.
• Provide engineering support related to mining sequences, equipment utilization, haulage, development, and operational requirements.
• Perform engineering calculations and assist with drill and blast planning, as applicable.
• Coordinate with Geology and Survey personnel to maintain accurate mine plans and current technical information.
• Conduct field inspections to verify mine conditions, production progress, and compliance with established plans.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, productivity, efficiency, recovery, and cost performance.
• Support technical studies, special projects, budgeting, forecasting, and operational evaluations.
