Mining Americas Inc. is seeking a Mine Engineer – Junior to Intermediate Level to provide technical engineering support to mine operations. This is an excellent opportunity for either a recent Mining Engineering graduate looking to begin their career or an engineer with several years of experience ready to take on greater technical responsibility.
The Mine Engineer will work closely with Safety, Operations, Geology, Survey, Processing, Maintenance, and other technical personnel to support safe, efficient, and cost-effective mining operations.
The successful candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, an understanding of mining and engineering fundamentals, and the ability to work effectively with both technical and operational teams. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is expected, and experience with mine planning, CAD, scheduling, or related engineering software is preferred.
This position combines office and field work in an active mining environment and requires a strong commitment to safe work practices and compliance with applicable MSHA and site requirements.
This position provides room for professional growth. A junior engineer will receive guidance while developing site knowledge and technical competency, while an intermediate-level engineer will have the opportunity to work more independently on mine designs, schedules, production analysis, technical evaluations, and improvement projects.
This position requires the ability to work in an active mine and process environment, including outdoor conditions and potential exposure to noise, airborne particles, chemicals, vibration, and changing weather conditions. The position requires frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds and the use of appropriate PPE while working in production areas.
