Job summary

US Aggregates is seeking a Mine Engineer Intern to support continuous improvement and capital projects across Indiana plants. You will analyze operations, contribute to data-driven improvements, and gain exposure to safety, quality, and engineering teams.

Based out of Indianapolis with travel to plant sites, the internship runs full-time during the summer, with extended hours possible to meet milestones. This hands-on role offers practical experience in aggregate production and mine engineering.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Mining Engineering.
• Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes daily procedures, performance metrics, and production trends to identify efficiency opportunities.
• Supports incident investigations and tracks corrective actions to reduce recurrence.
• Collaborates with Plant Managers and Quality Manager to optimize production performance.
• Delivers a defined summer project with a final presentation to leadership.
• Prepares project justifications and communicates findings clearly to stakeholders.
