Job summary

Sibanye-Stillwater – East Boulder Mine, McLeod, MT, seeks a Supervisor - Dispatch to lead the safe, efficient movement of traffic on the rail and coordinate ore and waste transport. The role requires strong leadership and dispatching experience, with knowledge of underground mining operations and MSHA regulations.

You will monitor communications systems, coordinate with surface and underground teams, and ensure accurate reporting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 4 years related experience or a bachelor's in mining or related field with 1-2 years experience.
• Previous dispatching experience (radio and phone systems).
• Previous supervisory and management skills and experience.
• Underground haulage experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct the safe, efficient movement of traffic on the rail and coordinate the internal movement of ore and waste production by the truck fleet and transfer operators.
• Maintain communications for all underground departments and surface facilities.
• Monitor landline phone, leaky feeder radio, and mine phone system.
• Recordkeeping of communications and timely transfer of information between supervisors and departments shift-by-shift.
• Work with other supervisors, lead people and departments.
• Coordinate flow of material through employees not under supervision of Dispatch Coordinator.
• Initiate/implement recommendations to improve efficiency of operation.
• Monitor employee call-offs and enforce the Good Neighbor Agreement Transportation Policy.
• Assist mine emergencies and understand ERP and other company response documents.
• Work with other Dispatch Coordinators and participate in front-line supervision duties including drug/alcohol testing and coordination for surface support.
