Job summary

Enso Village is seeking a Life Enrichment Assistant to support the Life Enrichment Specialist and Director in delivering person-centered programs across Memory Care, Assisted Living, and Independent Living. The role blends creativity with organization and compassion to foster joy, purpose, and connection in residents.

You will lead activities, engage residents one-on-one, and coordinate events while collaborating with care teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework or certification in Recreation Therapy, Gerontology, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in senior living, recreation, hospitality, or customer service preferred.
• Experience supporting individuals with dementia or cognitive decline is highly desirable.
• Valid California driver’s license required; ability to drive community vehicles for resident outings preferred.
• Regular schedule consists of five (5) days per week.
• Weekend availability, including partial or full weekend coverage, based on departmental needs.
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings, holidays, and special events.
• Work schedule may vary to support resident activities, outings, community events, and departmental staffing needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, preparing, and implementing daily activity programs under guidance of Life Enrichment team.
• Lead or co-facilitate small group and one-on-one programs including art, music, exercise, crafts, games, and sensory activities.
• Conduct one-on-one visits and individualized engagement for residents.
• Set up and clean up activity areas, ensuring safety and accessibility.
• Escort and assist residents to activities and outings.
• Help organize events, celebrations, and resident outings.
• Maintain activity calendars, bulletin boards, and communications materials.
• Collaborate with Care Companions, Nurses, and other teams to support resident care.
• Support volunteers and instructors to ensure engaging programs.
• Drive Enso Village bus or community vehicle for outings.
