Job summary

Per Scholas Milwaukee is seeking a Managing Director to launch and lead a new campus serving about 400 learners annually by 2030. You will build partnerships with funders, employers, and community organizations while delivering high-quality tech training aligned with national objectives.

You will drive local fundraising to a $3–4 million annual target by 2030, oversee program delivery, and manage a team of four direct reports.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience leading teams and managing program operations in nonprofit, education, or workforce development settings.
• Proven success in local fundraising and community engagement.
• Proven ability to lead high-performing teams, coach staff, and drive results in a metrics-driven environment.
• Strong understanding of learner-centered program design, job readiness, and workforce development trends.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills; comfortable representing the organization externally.

Responsibilities

• Increase awareness of Per Scholas’ brand and tech training in Milwaukee and SE Wisconsin.
• Develop and lead local fundraising strategy in partnership with Regional SVP and National Development team.
• Lead fundraising to secure $3–4 million annually by 2030.
• Partner with National Development team to generate grant requests and reports.
• Develop and lead local employer outreach strategy with support from National Talent Solutions Team.
• Manage an employer-facing team to secure new employer relationships for revenue.
• Secure a pipeline of employer partners in the local community.
• Represent Per Scholas at local meetings, conferences, and media opportunities.
• Lead local operating plan in partnership with Training Support Team and RSVP.
