Job summary

Per Scholas Milwaukee seeks a Managing Director to lead a new campus serving ~400 learners annually by 2030. You will drive fundraising, employer partnerships, and program quality while building local relationships with funders and community organizations.

The role reports to the Regional Senior VP, Midwest, and requires 6+ years in nonprofit program leadership. The MD will oversee a team, manage a local operating plan, and ensure metrics-driven outcomes across training delivery and job

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience leading teams and managing program operations in nonprofit, education, or workforce development settings.
• Proven success in local fundraising and community engagement
• Proven ability to lead high-performing teams, coach staff, and drive results in a metrics-driven environment.
• Strong understanding of learner-centered program design, job readiness, and workforce development trends.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Comfortable representing the organization externally and building relationships with community and employer stakeholders.
• Deep commitment to equity, inclusion, and learner success

Responsibilities

• Oversee fundraising and business development efforts to build relationships with funders, employers, and community partners.
• Lead local staffing and program operations, including four direct reports, ensuring high-quality training delivery.
• Drive annual operating plans, budgeting, and performance reporting to support campus growth.
• Represent Per Scholas Milwaukee in external forums and cultivate an advisory board of business/community leaders.
