Job summary

Milwaukee Area Technical College seeks a Facilities Project Manager to lead the planning, development and management of new and existing facilities. Under the Director’s direction, you will supervise capital construction projects, coordinate professional staff, and ensure compliance with building codes and campus policies.

You will review budgets and schedules, coordinate with contractors, architects and campus stakeholders, and develop standards for project delivery across the campus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction or related field required; master's preferred.
• 5–7 years of progressive management experience in construction administration.
• 3+ years of supervision; nine or more years preferred.
• Registered Architect or Engineer with the State of Wisconsin preferred.
• Strong knowledge of building construction, codes, budgeting, scheduling and project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates all capital construction projects.
• Oversees budgets and resources, ensuring goals align with definitions and campus plans.
• Performs reviews of budgets, plans, specifications and approvals at project stages.
• Coordinates communication between contractors, architects, engineers and campus stakeholders.
• Develops and implements standards; ensures compliance with statutes and manuals.
• Performs other related duties as required.
