Job summary

The University of Wisconsin–Madison’s Precollege Enrichment Opportunity Program for Learning Excellence (PEOPLE) Milwaukee seeks a Program Manager to guide planning, implementation, and evaluation, and supervise PEOPLE Milwaukee Precollege Advisors. The Manager reports to the Milwaukee Precollege Associate Director.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work some evenings and weekends.
• Some supervisory/professional leadership experience.
• At least one year of work experience supporting students in their educational goals.
• At least one year of work experience with a college access program and/or precollege students that provide college readiness services.

Responsibilities

• May exercise supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 FTE or equivalent employees
• Advises institutional or divisional leadership on pre-college program services and student needs
• Oversees design, drafting, and scheduling of program specific materials and resources for an educational pre-college program
• Promotes and maintains internal and external partnerships
• Manages operating policies and procedures to comply with regulations, institutional policies, and pre-college program unit objectives
• May monitor pre-college program budget
• Develops, facilitates, and evaluates educational pre-college program content and materials
