Job summary

American Crystal Sugar Company is seeking a House Mechanic to perform a broad range of mechanical maintenance duties, from parts replacement to equipment refurbishment and performance optimization. The role requires strong millwright skills and the ability to work closely with Production to ensure effective maintenance interventions.

Qualifications include a 2-year technical degree or millwright apprenticeship with 2+ years of experience, or a high school diploma with 5 years’ millwright

Qualifications

• Requires 2-year technical degree or millwright apprenticeship with 2+ years of full-time millwright experience.
• Alternative: high school diploma/GED with 5+ years of millwright experience.
• Candidates must pass millwright, welding and basic skills tests.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, replace parts, align, balance, install, and refurbish equipment.
• Understand equipment operation and optimize performance.
• Collaborate with Production to ensure appropriate maintenance interventions.
• Perform joining and fabrication: weld, cut, braze, and solder carbon steel and stainless steel.
