Job summary

American Crystal Sugar Company is seeking a House Mechanic (millwright) to perform maintenance across equipment, including inspection, replacement, alignment, and refurbishment. You will weld, cut, braze, and solder while collaborating with Production to optimize performance and reduce downtime.

The ideal candidate holds a 2-year technical degree or has completed a millwright apprenticeship (non-ACS), or possesses a high school diploma with 5 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree or completed state-approved millwright apprenticeship (non-ACS).
• High School diploma or GED with at least 5 consecutive years of millwright experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection, parts replacement, alignment, balancing, installation, and refurbishment of millwright equipment.
• Carry out welding, cutting, brazing, and soldering of carbon steel and stainless steel.
• Work with Production to understand operating parameters and optimize maintenance interventions.
• Complete joining and fabrication tasks as required.
• Adhere to safety screens and pass millwright and basic skills testing.
