Job summary

Hood Plywood, a division of Hood Industries, Inc., seeks a Millwright for the Beaumont, MS facility. The role ensures production equipment is reliable, performing repairs, replacements, and preventive maintenance in a plywood manufacturing plant.

You will work with belts, motors, hoses, and other components, operate forklifts or cranes, and collaborate with the team to reduce downtime while following safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ work experience as a millwright.
• High school diploma/GED preferred.
• Maintenance experience in plywood, manufacturing, or industrial environment.
• Ability to understand, communicate, and follow safety rules and policies.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Champion a culture of reliability with a data-driven approach to maintenance decisions.
• Use tools to safely repair and maintain production equipment.
• Repair/replace belts, hoses, valves, motors, and other machine parts.
• Monitor spare parts inventories and reorder when necessary.
• Perform metalworking (welding, cutting, fabricating) as needed.
• Operate forklift, crane, or other rolling stock occasionally.
• Communicate with team and management on maintenance issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Follow safety, health, and environmental policies.
