Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is hiring a Millwright at our lumber mill in Pineland, Texas. You will troubleshoot and repair mechanical failures, perform preventive maintenance, and maintain a clean, safe work environment.

Compensation ranges from $28–$36 per hour with rotating shifts, holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed. Ideal candidates have industrial mechanical maintenance experience and skills in bearings, chains, sprockets, rigging, precision measurement, cutting, welding, and fabrication.

Qualifications

• Experience with bearings, chains and sprockets, rigging and belts.
• Precision measurement and precise alignment of motors and couplings.
• Cutting, welding and fabricating experience.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, install, align, dismantle and repair industrial machinery for reliability.
• Perform preventive maintenance to identify defects before failure.
• Maintain equipment to achieve optimal performance.
• Coordinate with operations to prioritize maintenance needs.
• Follow safety rules, wear PPE, and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Identify components and coordinate parts orders as needed.
• Perform precision work including laser alignment, belt tensioning, torque specs.
• Diagnose and repair mill equipment across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems.
