Job summary

Peugeot Sport (Stellantis Motorsport) in Auburn Hills, MI, seeks a skilled Millwright to install, assemble, and dismantle machinery, conveyors, and hydraulic/pneumatic control systems on site. You will read layouts, operate hoists and forklifts, and perform precision alignment to tight tolerances.

The role requires 4+ years’ related experience, welding ability, and proficiency with layout plans, blueprints, and basic MS Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• 4+ years combined experience and training similar to that required in an apprenticeship as a Millwright; or O/D Labor Completion as a Millwright; or 8 years Millwright experience; or 5 years plus 3 years in related trade.
• Ability to work any shift and overtime, including daily, weekends and holidays as required
• Experience as a millwright in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to read layout plans, blueprints, drawings or other specifications to determine work procedures
• Ability to dismantle machines using hammers, wrenches, crowbars and other hand tools
• Welding experience including arc, acetylene and hydrogen
• Ability to move machinery using hoists, dollies, rollers and trucks
• Ability to use tools such as drill presses, power saws, chain falls, jacks, skids, slings, burning torches, and other hand tools
• Ability to clean, lubricate, or adjust parts, equipment, or machinery
• Perform incidental tasks as required to complete the larger task
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, and dismantle machinery, conveyors, pulleys, gear boxes, and hydraulic/pneumatic control systems.
• Transport and locate machines using forklifts, hoists, cranes, and other equipment.
• Read complex instruction books and assembly details to ensure correct construction.
• Perform precise alignment with micrometers and other measuring devices to meet tolerances.
• Apply welding and metalworking techniques as needed to complete tasks.
