Job summary

The Lumber Manufactory is seeking a skilled Millwright for our New Albany, IN facility to support maintenance and mechanical operations. You’ll install, repair, and maintain industrial machinery, collaborating with the Mill Manager, Maintenance Lead, and production teams to minimize downtime and uphold safety.

This full-time, hourly position requires “read blueprints” competency, welding in all positions, and strong hydraulic/pneumatic troubleshooting, with a focus on reliability and efficiency

Qualifications

• 5 years of maintenance experience or equivalent.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Welding and fabrication skills across positions.
• Proficiency with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to use a multimeter and document work.

Responsibilities

• Support and execute equipment repairs by reading blueprints and diagrams.
• Maintain pumps, conveyors, compressors, rollers, bearings and hydraulics.
• Undertake preventative maintenance programs for equipment.
• Operate hoisting devices to position machinery during setup and repair.
• Repair hydraulic cylinders and verify repairs with documentation.
• Ensure parts cross-reference and proper sourcing.
