Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking a Journeyman for a long-term maintenance project in Wisconsin. You will read blueprints, install machinery, align systems, and work with cranes and hand tools.

The role requires documented field experience, the ability to document and plan work, operate machinery, and maintain safety compliance. The contractor environment emphasizes safety and adherence to project rules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail in field work.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and drawings.
• Experience with blueprints and schematics preferred.
• Knowledge of shop mathematics and tolerances.
• Ability to plan tasks and select appropriate tools.
• Comfort working at heights and in industrial environments.
• Ability to document job activities as required.
• Safety-conscious with adherence to project rules.

Responsibilities

• Reads blueprints, layout plans and manuals to determine procedures.
• Dismantles machines using hand tools.
• Moves machinery using hoists and dollies.
• Assembles and installs equipment such as conveyors and rails.
• Constructs foundations for machines with appropriate materials.
• Aligns machines using hoists, jacks, levels and measuring tools.
• Performs optical and laser alignment as needed.
• Assembles machines and anchors them to foundations.
• Operates engine lathe to grind or turn parts to specs.
• Installs robots and may modify programs.
• Uses transit and level for equipment setting.
• Loads, transports and unloads materials and tools.
• Performs lubrication and cleaning; maintains tools and equipment.
• Observes safety and project rules; performs other duties as required.
