Job summary

GreenWood, Inc. is seeking a Millwright Journeyman for our Mitsubishi site in Greer, SC. This regular full-time, non-exempt role requires installing machinery per blueprints, reading schematics, and aligning equipment in an industrial setting.

Workweek is Monday through Thursday, 7:00am-5:30pm, with overtime as needed and no travel. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of millwright experience, strong attention to detail, safety mindset, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Requires a minimum of 5 years' experience in millwright processes and equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and sense of urgency.
• Ability to prioritize with an emphasis on quality of work.
• Demonstrated ability to perform repetitive tasks with focus on quantity and quality.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrates a high level of customer service and strong communication skills.
• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions with minimal supervision.
• Experience demonstrating successful support of a positive safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Installs machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings in an industrial environment, using hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools
• Reads blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
• Dismantles machines, using hammers, wrenches, crowbars, and other hand tools
• Moves machinery and equipment, using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks
• Assembles and installs equipment, such as shafting, conveyors, and tram rails, using hand tools and power tools, and fastens them to foundation or other structure
• Fabricates support frames and brackets from steel and other materials
• Aligns machines and equipment, using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs
• May operate engine lathe to grind, file, and turn machine parts to dimensional specifications
• May repair and lubricate machines and equipment
• Participates in daily toolbox discussions/meetings
• Performs basic rigging tasks safely
• Ensure all safety procedures are followed to foster a positive safety culture
• Based on the nature of the essential functions, GreenWood has designated this as a “safety-sensitive” position.
• Maintains tools and equipment
• Conducts process inspection, certification, and documentation
• Other duties and special projects as assigned
