Job summary

GreenWood, Inc. is seeking a Millwright Journeyman for the Mitsubishi site in Greer, SC. This regular full-time, non-exempt role focuses on installing machinery per layout plans and drawings in an industrial setting.

Applicants must have 5+ years of millwright experience, strong attention to detail, and a safety-focused mindset. Work days are Monday-Thursday with occasional overtime, no per diem offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in millwright processes and equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and sense of urgency.
• Ability to prioritize with an emphasis on quality of work.
• Experience demonstrating a positive safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Installs machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and drawings.
• Reads blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
• Dismantles machines, using hammers, wrenches, crowbars, and other hand tools.
• Moves machinery and equipment, using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks.
• Assembles and installs equipment, such as shafting, conveyors, and tram rails, using hand tools and power tools, and fastens them to foundation or other structure.
• Aligns machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs.
• May operate engine lathe to grind, file, and turn machine parts to dimensional specifications.
• May repair and lubricate machines and equipment.
• Participates in daily toolbox discussions/meetings.
• Performs basic rigging tasks safely.
• Ensures safety procedures are followed to foster a safety culture.
