Job summary

GrayWolf is seeking a Journeyman Precision Millwright for our Iva, SC job site. The role requires installing, maintaining, repairing, and moving heavy machinery in industrial settings, with emphasis on precision alignment and adherence to blueprints. The candidate should have extensive millwright experience and relevant NCCER credentials.

Responsibilities include laser alignment, reading drawings, rigging, and inspecting components, all while maintaining safety and quality standards on site.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years minimum heavy industrial field experience as a Mechanical Millwright.
• At least one (1) year as a Precision Millwright.
• Five (5) years experience with steam turbine systems.
• NCCER written only, or performance verified only or NCCER Certified Plus in Industrial Millwright.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, repair, dismantle, and move machinery according to plans in industrial settings.
• Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
• Perform laser alignment and record placement; troubleshoot alignment issues.
• Rig equipment using basic and special rigging procedures and equipment.
• Inspect bearings, seals, gaskets, and pumps; replace or service as needed.
• Work safely, follow site rules and quality standards.

Education

Four (4) years minimum heavy industrial field experience as a Mechanical Millwright

At least one (1) year as a Precision Millwright

Five (5) years experience with steam turbine systems

NCCER written only, or performance verified only or NCCER Certified Plus in Industrial Millwright
