Job summary

Del Mar College is continuously recruiting to fill part-time, temporary millwright instructor pool assignments as needed across multiple locations. You may be contacted for scheduling interviews; applications are valid for one year and must be updated to remain in the pool.

The role involves teaching millwright courses, developing curricula, and maintaining professional classroom practices in support of student success.

Qualifications

  • Certifications in related field and/or High School Diploma.
  • Five (5) years related work experience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Detail oriented and organized with effective communication and professionalism skills.
  • Possess workplace critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to plan course instruction based upon approved syllabus/outline provided to ensure course content and objectives are met.
  • Ability to utilize a variety of teaching styles and methods to accommodate diverse learning styles of students.
  • Ability to utilize instructional technologies, including computers, internet resources, and other appropriate media in instruction.

  • Input final student grades into WebDMC, and submit final hard copies of daily attendance rosters and grade sheets to the Continuing Education Department.

Departments or Divisions will refer to the POOL of applications on file to fill temporary assignments as the need arises. Minimum Qualifications

Knowledge of and commitment to teaching strategies and methods which enhance student success.
