Job summary

Hunter Contracting Co. is seeking skilled installers to set up, align, and commission heavy equipment at water and wastewater facilities. The role requires reading blueprints, rigging, and precise assembly using hand and power tools, with attention to safety and quality.

Candidate should have a high school diploma or GED, 3+ years related experience, and ideally an apprenticeship or equivalent training. E-Verify and background checks are performed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of three years experience in a related field.
• Formal Apprenticeship or equivalent training is required or preferred.
• Must read blueprints and schematics.
• Knowledge of load bearing properties of ropes, cables, hoists, and cranes.
• Ability to estimate measurements and apply technical rules.

Responsibilities

• Reads blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
• Unloads and inspects new equipment and moves it into position using hoisting devices.
• Assembles and installs equipment using hand tools and power tools.
• Constructs foundation for machines using wood, concrete, and steel.
• Assembles machines and bolts, welds, rivets, or fastens to foundations.
• Connects power units to machines and tests operation.
• Adheres to safety policies and instructions from management.
• Dismantles machinery for shipment to installation site.
