Job summary

McMillen, Inc. seeks a Millwright to join our team, assembling, maintaining, and machining components critical to pumps and distribution systems within water resource facilities.

You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and fabricate parts using lathes and milling machines. Safety and environmental stewardship guide every task, with emphasis on LOTO and confined-space protocols.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED; apprenticeship or technical program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, align, and maintain pumps, valves, motors, gearboxes in water treatment and distribution systems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and ensure optimal performance.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues, including disassembly and reassembly of parts.
• Operate lathes, milling machines, and grinders to fabricate/repair parts for water resource equipment.
• Modify or customize components to meet specific operational needs.
• Perform welding and fabrication for infrastructure repair and reinforcement.
• Inspect systems for wear, corrosion, and performance issues.
• Test equipment after repairs to verify efficiency and reliability.
• Collaborate with engineers to improve system functionality.
• Adhere to LOTO, confined space, and PPE safety protocols.
