Job summary

PADNOS is seeking a Millwright II for the 3rd shift to install, troubleshoot, and repair production machinery, interpreting blueprints and timelines. You will mentor Millwright I staff, participate in safety initiatives, and support continuous improvement across maintenance operations.

This role requires strong mechanical/electrical skills, ability to read schematics, and experience with welding and fabrication. A sign-on bonus of $4,000 is offered along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.
• Valid driver’s license and DOT medical card.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• 3+ years of machine repair experience with proven performance.
• Ability to read hydraulic schematics and basic control systems.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex equipment.
• Experience with fabrication and field fitting of components.
• Proficiency in welding (MIG, TIG, ARC).
• Read engineered drawings and develop maintenance procedures.
• Experience with maintenance planning or work order systems.
• Safety certifications including LOTO and hot work (PAI).
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs; outdoor/industrial environments.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical systems, and rebuilding.

Responsibilities

• Install machinery and equipment per layouts and schematics.
• Diagnose failures, identify actions, and restore functionality.
• Perform advanced mechanical and electrical repairs on production equipment.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations to ensure proper operation.
• Develop and document procedures for new jobs and rebuilds.
• Train and mentor Millwright I; assist onboarding.
• Lead on specific jobs and serve as maintenance contact.
• Support safety investigations and corrective actions.
• Use maintenance systems to enter work orders and track parts.
• Minimize downtime through proactive maintenance and problem-solving.
• Support safety, culture, and best-practice initiatives.
