Job summary

PADNOS is seeking a Millwright I to assist in installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of machinery to minimize downtime at our Howell, MI operations. You will work independently or in a team, read blueprints, perform repairs, document procedures, and support safety and continuous improvement initiatives. Schedule is Sunday–Thursday, 7:00 p.m.

to 4:30 a.m. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and ability to lift up to 75 lbs; welding and

Qualifications

• Valid chauffeur’s license.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• 1+ years of machine repair or industrial maintenance experience.
• Basic knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical systems and components.
• Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematics.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices.
• Perform basic welding and fabrication (MIG, TIG, ARC).
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Work at heights and in outdoor/industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Work both independently and as part of a team to complete assigned tasks.
• Perform minor electrical and mechanical repairs and diagnose/resolve issues on production equipment.
• Interact with engineering, operations support and product development to troubleshoot and ensure machinery and equipment are working properly.
• Develop and document procedures on new jobs or rebuilds for filing in permanent record.
• Install machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints.
• Support the development of safety, culture, and best practice initiatives within the department or company.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work environment.
• Dismantle equipment using hand power tools.
